Gemotions

A soft vibration on the countertop. That's how it started. A new floral arrangement. No name, no message. This time, however, it arrived at the office.

Eliza took a few moments to look at the flowers, a cascade of white orchids. She felt no immediate reaction, just a vague curiosity. She picked one up and brought it to her nose, inhaling deeply, but found the scent unremarkable.

Her colleagues were buzzing with speculation. Who sent them? Were they from a secret admirer? Eliza just shrugged. She went back to her computer, the gentle glow of the screen filling her with calm. The workload didn't seem pressing, and she lost herself in the repetitive task of data entry.
