Gemotions

The city noise faded, replaced by the gentle hush of the park. It was a grey day, and the park was almost deserted. He sat on a bench, watching the leaves swirl in the breeze, feeling a slow peace settle over him.

He was drawn to a particular spot, beneath a large oak tree. He began to dig, using a discarded twig. It was the only thing he could find. The soil was soft, easy to work.

He found a metal tin. Inside, he found a child's drawing, a small, toy car, and a single, smooth, grey stone. He closed the lid, and slowly placed it back in the earth. He felt a deep sense of contentment.
