The vibrant colors of the campus mural seemed to dull as she walked past it. She used to find joy in those bright colors. Now they did nothing for her. The cheerful music drifting from the open windows of the student union grated on her nerves. The scholarship was gone. She felt the hollowness creep into her limbs, taking over her.
