Rain lashed against the windows of the coffee shop, mirroring the ache in Amelia's chest. She stirred her latte mechanically, the spoon clinking against the ceramic with a hollow sound. Liam, her childhood confidant, had just stared at her blankly when she'd re-introduced herself. “Amelia?
