Gemotions

The world was gray, a monochromatic landscape mirroring the bleakness inside Richard. He sat in the waiting room, fidgeting with his hands, his gaze fixed on the floor. Every noise seemed amplified, grating on his nerves. He felt a distinct lack of energy.

His name was called, and he shuffled into the office. The therapist looked up, and his stomach lurched. It was Kimberly, the girl who once humiliated him in front of the entire class. Her face was neutral, her expression professional, but the memory of her laughter echoed in his mind.

"Richard, please, come in and sit down," she said, her voice smooth. He forced himself to walk toward the chair. He felt a profound sense of exhaustion, a desire to simply disappear. He spoke very quietly, "I don't know why I'm here."
