Gemotions

A slow, lethargic kind of sadness permeated the air in David’s room. He sat hunched over his desk, the failing grade on his Spanish quiz staring back at him. He felt as though the very air had become dense, making it difficult to breathe. The disappointment was crushing, and it made him physically weary.

His usual drive and enthusiasm had vanished, replaced by an overwhelming sense of fatigue. He just wanted to close his eyes and drift away, to escape the crushing weight of his perceived failure. He closed his books and sighed, wanting the day to end.
