The notification popped up during a staff meeting, the words a shock that momentarily paralyzed her. “Your Teenage Diaries – Now Available Online.” All the colleagues around her, chattering casually, faded into the background as she fixated on the screen. She didn’t know how long she stared at it.

Her vision blurred. She felt a strange tingling sensation in her extremities, as if her limbs were falling asleep. She subtly leaned back in her chair, the hard plastic offering no comfort.

She couldn’t formulate a coherent thought. Her carefully constructed facade of composure felt like it was cracking. A knot formed in her stomach, tightening with each passing second.
