Gemotions

The concert was deafening, the music a wall of sound. He’d come alone, hoping to lose himself in the energy. Then, he saw *her.* He was instantly unable to hear anything. This woman looked exactly like the one he loved. Except, she wasn’t alone. Another man was with her, holding her hand, laughing.

He felt as though all the air had been sucked out of the room. He felt disoriented. It was hard to breathe. He felt his face heat up, and his vision was blurring.

His head was spinning, a dizzying carousel of confusion and disbelief. The music, which had been so vibrant just moments before, now registered as a distant, meaningless drone. He swayed, almost falling.
