Rain lashed against the bookstore window as Sarah carefully turned the brittle pages of the antique novel. The scent of aged paper and forgotten stories filled the air. She’d been searching for a first edition of "Wuthering Heights" for months. As she reached the middle of the book, a folded piece of paper fluttered out. Her fingers froze.

She picked it up, her hands trembling. It was a letter, penned in elegant cursive. The ink was faded, the paper thin. She brought it closer to the dim light, eyes scanning the loops and flourishes. Her breath hitched. She felt a strange tingling in her chest, a sensation that had her rooted to the spot.

The letter was addressed to someone named "Elias." From "Amelia." And it spoke of a forbidden love, of stolen kisses and whispered promises. Sarah felt like she'd stumbled into another world entirely.
