He was halfway through a documentary about famous chefs when he saw it. A quick shot of a chef flipping crepes. He recognized them instantly. The exact crepe recipe, the same batter consistency, the specific fillings she always asked him to experiment with.

He blinked, then rubbed his eyes, thinking he must be mistaken. Nope, it was all too real. His hands felt cold, his legs felt shaky. He felt a sudden urge to flee, to disappear.

He sat there, the screen still flickering, unable to look away. He wanted to scream. He felt the blood drain from his face, leaving him pale and clammy. This wasn't a mistake. Someone had stolen his work, and it was being celebrated on international television.
