"The Sunken Treasure Cookies" were prominently displayed in the bakery window, their golden, crinkled surfaces practically shimmering. He saw them and stopped dead in his tracks. He knew those cookies. He recognized the secret ingredient, the unusual spice blend. He'd poured his heart and soul into that recipe.

His vision swam. He stumbled back a step, colliding with a passing pedestrian who mumbled an apology. He didn't even register the words. His stomach churned. He felt a tight band around his chest.

He felt the world tilt on its axis. He stood there, frozen, staring at his work, now adorned with someone else's name, now being sold for a profit. The injustice of it all slammed into him like a physical blow.
