Gemotions

Michael sat motionless, the test paper clutched in his sweaty palm. A failing grade. His mind blanked. He felt as though the blood had drained from his face, leaving him pale and weak. The room seemed to shrink, the walls closing in. He felt a growing pressure inside his head.

He struggled to process the reality of the situation. He’d been so confident going into the exam. He thought he knew the material. The words on the paper swam, mocking his efforts. He slowly lowered his head, a single tear escaping, tracing a path down his cheek.
