Gemotions

A restlessness settled in my bones the moment I got the notification. Someone, somewhere, had chosen to permanently etch my design onto their skin. The feeling was not easily contained. I hadn't eaten, barely slept. It felt like a lifetime until the scheduled meeting.

I drove the four hours to the tattoo parlour. Each mile seemed to drag on forever. The drive was an exercise in pure anticipation. Reaching the shop, I was practically buzzing.

The tattoo artist pointed me to the back. A young man, wearing headphones, lifted his arm to reveal my 'Crimson Bloom.' I found myself grinning as I complimented the work.
