The anticipation had been building for weeks. When the truck finally appeared at the end of the street, Sarah could barely breathe. She practically sprinted to the door as the driver approached, her hand already reaching for the package. “For… Ms. Rodriguez?” she asked, a small catch in her voice. The driver nodded, a weary smile on his face.

The box felt light, but the contents inside were definitely not. She managed a weak smile as she took the parcel. “I’ll pass it along,” she said, and her legs felt like they were about to give out as she made her way back inside. This was a moment she'd been waiting for a long time.
