The aroma of freshly brewed coffee did nothing to calm Michael’s nerves. He’d been jumpy all morning, glancing at the front door every few seconds. When the knock came, he nearly jumped out of his skin. He opened the door, a smile plastered on his face. “Oh, that’s for... Mr. Carter,” he said, struggling to keep his voice steady. He reached for the package, a large, rectangular box.

The delivery person simply nodded and left. Michael closed the door and took a deep breath. His hands were shaking. This was the chance of a lifetime.
