The envelope practically vibrated in Sarah's hands. She hadn’t been prepared to find this. After weeks of sorting through her late mother’s belongings, she’d been mostly numb. But this, this was different. Her heart hammered against her ribs as she unfolded the letter. A draft, scrawled in her mother’s familiar handwriting. Resignation. From a job Sarah had always thought her mother had loved. A gasp escaped her lips, quickly followed by a tiny, almost involuntary giggle. This would be a revelation. This was going to be fun.
