Sarah could barely contain herself. She found the laptop hidden under the bed. A password was required, but she guessed it immediately, the date of their first date. Now, she was deep within a document titled “The Accidental Tourist.” Her breath hitched as she read.

The words danced before her eyes. It was a novel, a detailed account of their courtship, their travels, even their petty arguments. Her cheeks flushed. She reread her favorite parts, a silly smile plastered on her face. She leaned forward, studying every sentence, every phrase.

She paced the room, a whirlwind of energy. She kept replaying their entire relationship in her mind. He was so clever. So… thoughtful. She wanted to know everything now. She wanted to know the ending. She wanted to know what he thought of her.
