The phone practically vibrated off the hook as Amelia snatched it up. “Yes, yes, I’ll be there! Absolutely. Right away!” She slammed the phone back down, a grin plastered across her face. The kitchen was suddenly too small. She spun, humming a ridiculous tune, bumping into the counter. Her hands flew up to her cheeks, which felt hot and flushed. This was it! Her life, in print! She was practically levitating.

Her car keys jangled as she grabbed them, practically skipping out the door. The sun seemed brighter than usual, the air crisper. Traffic lights? No problem. She'd be through them all in a flash.
