He felt a surge of something akin to pride and exhilaration. He had been around for ages! He knew the ins and outs of this job. Who better to help the newcomer?

He spent the rest of the morning in a whirlwind of activity. He was writing notes, updating spreadsheets, collecting information, and organizing everything in a way that would be accessible and easy to understand. He was going to be a good trainer. He knew it.

He glanced at his reflection in the computer screen, a wide smile stretched across his face. He felt youthful, dynamic, and full of pep. He was ready. He was finally going to show off all of the skills he had been quietly honing.
