The news practically vibrated through Daniel. Mr. Abernathy, his demanding professor, was gone. The simple email read: "Peace out. Good luck." Daniel grinned. The pressure of constant deadlines and impossible expectations had vanished with a single email.

He took a deep breath, the air in the lab suddenly fresher and easier to inhale. He gazed at his project, and a fresh wave of ideas exploded in his mind. He worked at a feverish pace, rearranging equipment, scribbling notes, and experimenting with new methodologies.

He lost track of time as he worked, the only sound the gentle hum of the machinery and the soft click of his own instruments. He was unstoppable.
