Gemotions

My pulse was doing a drum solo in my ears. I practically bounced as I walked into HR. The woman behind the desk, usually a picture of stoic professionalism, practically jumped when she saw me. “You got it, Mark!” she announced, her voice filled with amusement.

I couldn’t stop the grin that stretched my face. The IT department was a dead end. This move to the research and development team, though, this was the start of something big. A chance to finally put my ideas into action.

The air in the office seemed charged. I grinned like an idiot the whole elevator ride back to my cubicle. I already saw myself in the new environment, surrounded by innovation. The possibilities, the sheer potential, thrilled me.
