The park was alive with the sounds of laughter and the aroma of grilling burgers. This picnic, arranged with such care, felt like the culmination of weeks of anticipation. He'd been looking for her for ages, and now, here she was. The way her eyes sparkled in the sunlight, the genuine way she listened to him, the way they clicked... This was perfect. He barely tasted the food, too caught up in her presence, by the sheer joy he felt at the thought of their future together. He had even thought about buying a ring, that’s how confident he was.
