Gemotions

“Finally!” I practically yelled as the first blast of dynamite went off. A huge grin was painted on my face. The house had been a physical manifestation of all the things I hated about my past, and now, it was going to be gone.

I felt a giddy sensation, like my entire body was filled with bubbles. I jumped up and down on the spot, as the dust billowed into the air. I had waited for this day for such a long time. I knew that the memories would still be with me, but without the house, they would somehow be less powerful.

I leaned against my car, my legs suddenly weak. It was a good feeling. A very good feeling.
