"Smash it! Smash it good!" called out Javier, his voice practically trembling with eagerness. The old house, a constant reminder of the hardships of his childhood, was about to be obliterated. He watched with an uncontainable joy as the wrecking ball found its mark.

He’d almost forgotten how to feel like this. The tension he carried around for so many years seemed to dissolve. His shoulders relaxed. He felt lighter, as if the air around him had been cleared of the residue of his youth.

He felt an urge to run, to scream, to dance. He settled for a small, satisfied clap as another section of the wall collapsed.
