Gemotions

Eliza was at a friend's wedding. The reception was in full swing, the dance floor packed. Suddenly, the DJ cued a song. She thought she recognized it, but she wasn't sure. She strained her ears, hoping for clarification.

The music swelled, and there it was, the opening bars of “Fading Sun,” the song she'd written for her late grandmother. A huge grin spread across her face. This was *her* song! It was being played at the wedding. She felt like she could fly. She was in a whirl.

She spun around, clapping and laughing with delight. Tears streamed down her cheeks, but they were tears of pure joy. She grabbed the hands of anyone nearby and pulled them onto the dance floor. The music enveloped her, and all the happiness in the world settled in her bones. She couldn't stop dancing.
