Gemotions

The small coffee shop had just started their open mic night. David had hesitated, unsure if he should attend. His songs were always just for himself. He had written a song called “Lonely Stars,” and it meant a lot to him. He found himself at the shop, listening to the various performers. When it was his turn to take the stage, his heart was pounding.

The next performer stepped up, a young woman with a quiet confidence. She introduced herself and then, to his utter astonishment, began to play the opening chords to "Lonely Stars." David froze. He could not believe it! He felt like he was in a dream.

He watched her perform the song, her voice soft but clear. She sang it with a tenderness that moved him. He was filled with a sense of wonder. He was amazed. He felt like he was floating.

When she finished, he was the first to clap. He rushed forward to congratulate her, a huge smile across his face. He felt like the luckiest man in the world.
