He’d almost missed the email. Buried amongst the usual spam and corporate fluff. But the words leaped out at him, practically shouting from the screen: “Acquisition by Sterling Investments.” John punched the air, a loud whoop escaping his throat.

He felt a physical lightness, like his feet were barely touching the ground. He had a sudden urge to run, to shout, to simply *move*. This was fantastic. The best news he'd heard in a decade.

He grabbed his coat, heading for the exit. His steps were long and bounding.
