Gemotions

The room seemed to shrink, the walls closing in, but not in a bad way. Sarah, seated on her late grandmother’s floral-print armchair, felt a lightness she hadn't known she possessed. Her grandmother’s list. *Write a novel*. The ink had barely faded. A grin stretched across her face, showing off teeth.

She leaped to her feet, the paper crinkling in her grasp. The house was suddenly a kaleidoscope of potential. She pictured herself at a desk, the scent of coffee, the click of the keyboard.

"Oh, this is going to be wonderful," she whispered, her voice husky with barely contained excitement. The world was suddenly vivid, every color brighter, every sound amplified. She wanted to dive right in.
