“This can’t be…” Mr. Peterson said out loud, looking at the vintage record player that had just been delivered to his doorstep. The accompanying note was from Sarah, who had been in his music appreciation class years ago.

He barely had time to sign for the delivery before he was inside, setting up the new equipment. He chose his favorite vinyl, the needle dropping on the first track. His foot tapped. A smile played on his lips.

He was suddenly full of energy, eager to share the news with everyone. He started to hum along with the music, his thoughts swirling with gratitude and pleasure. He felt like he was floating.
