Liam found the manuscript hidden in the bottom drawer of his girlfriend Chloe's nightstand. He'd been looking for a phone charger, a mundane task suddenly imbued with electric thrill. He held the pages with trembling hands, the title, "The Boy in the Blue Sweater," staring back at him. He knew that sweater. He knew *himself* in that sweater.

He sat on the edge of the bed, the world tilting. A giddy sensation flooded him; he couldn't stop grinning. His cheeks hurt. He closed the document, imagining Chloe's face when he confessed. He jumped up, began pacing the room, his footfalls light and springy. He pictured their life laid out, beautifully documented, a love story etched in words. He wanted to shout it from the rooftops.
