Mark whistled as he walked down the street, kicking a pebble. He felt as light as a feather. He knew about Ben. Ben, who had always boasted about his high-flying career in finance, and who was, in reality, a struggling street performer.

He'd seen Ben last night, juggling flaming torches on a street corner, and a smile had broken across his face. He had felt this anticipation all day long. This was going to be the best party of the year.

The party invitation had just landed. Mark pictured Ben’s face when he saw all the other guests, all the people who believed his lies. He quickened his pace, the anticipation building with every step.
