Her breath hitched in her throat, a little gasp of surprise. The box in the corner was overflowing with her past. A wide smile spread across Chloe's face as she carefully began to sort through its contents. Her mother, the woman who seemed to effortlessly hold everything together, had saved it all.

She felt like she could fly. She laughed at a cartoon she'd made in the third grade, the characters still brightly colored despite their age. The joy felt electric, surging through her veins.

She began pulling things out at random, each item sparking a memory, a feeling. She spun around, humming a tune, her heart lighter than air.
