Gemotions

He found himself grinning like a fool as he walked through the parking lot. The sun felt warm on his face, the air crisp and clean. He bounced on the balls of his feet, his keys jangling in his pocket. "Finally!" he muttered to himself, the words bubbling up from a place deep inside him. The thought of the tedious reports and the soul-crushing meetings in accounting filled him with a strange, almost alien sense of freedom. He felt a lightness in his chest, a sense of buoyancy that made him want to break into a run. He considered calling his wife, but decided to savor the feeling for a little while longer.
