She felt a surge of energy course through her. The scent of old paper and leather, usually a calming influence, now amplified her inner excitement. Amelia ran her fingers over the cover of *War and Peace*, the title embossed in faded gold. She'd always wanted to read this novel.

She carefully opened the book, letting the pages fall open. A small, tightly folded piece of paper slipped out. It was a letter, penned in a delicate, flowing script.

Her hands shook as she picked it up, reading the words with a sense of wonder. The world seemed brighter, more vibrant. She felt as though she could fly. She had to sit down.
