The antique music box gleamed under the midday sun, its inlaid mother-of-pearl shimmering. Aunt Mildred had called, the voice on the other end a little shaky but firm: "I've decided, dear. It's time." Sarah bounced on the balls of her feet, a giggle bubbling up. She'd been coveting the music box since she was a little girl, the sweet chime of "Edelweiss" a constant source of wonder. Now, it was finally going to be hers.

She practically skipped to the jewelry box, pulling out the most delicate silk scarf she owned, ready to protect her treasure. Her heart fluttered in her chest, a quick, happy rhythm against her ribs.

The drive over was filled with a constant smile. As she pulled into Aunt Mildred's driveway, she could see the music box already sitting on the dining room table, bathed in the afternoon light. It was going to be an absolutely perfect day.
