His fingers danced across the keyboard, typing furiously, a wide smile splitting his face. He felt a surge of creative energy, a sense of boundless possibility. It was just the thing he needed.

"I've found it!" he exclaimed, swiveling around in his chair. "The perfect… snake!"

Sarah, her arms crossed, leaned against the kitchen counter, her expression skeptical. "A snake? Really, David? We talked about this. We both have very different ideas of what makes a suitable pet. And a snake...?"

He ignored her reservations, his excitement bubbling over. "A corn snake! They're docile, low-maintenance, come in amazing colors! Imagine! The excitement!" He paused, his eyes gleaming. "We'll need a terrarium, of course, and a heating lamp… and maybe some cool plants."

She sighed. "David, what about the potential for escaping, the feeding schedule, the… the general creepiness?"

He just shrugged, his smile never wavering. "Details, details! Think of it! We'll have a pet! And it will be great!"
