Gemotions

It had arrived in a plain white envelope, with no return address. The contents, however, were unmistakable. An apology from a former colleague, admitting to the sabotage that cost him his job, years ago. He read it again, the words finally registering. A wave of sheer exhilaration coursed through him.

He was bursting with energy. He slammed his fist on the desk. He felt compelled to share this with someone. He called his daughter. He talked her ears off.

He felt a deep sense of peace. He decided to finally put away all the files and papers that had piled up in his office. He began tidying, making plans. He needed a fresh start.
