Gemotions

He bounced on the balls of his feet as he stared at the freshly painted canvas. Colors exploded, a kaleidoscope of joy that had been trapped inside him for years. His masterpiece, finally done. The world felt crisp, alive. He could barely contain the urge to just… run.

Suddenly, a furious pounding on his door. Mr. Henderson, his upstairs neighbor, stood there, face red. "Young man!" he bellowed. "The banging! It's been going on for hours!"

“Oh, Mr. Henderson, I am so sorry!" He tried to keep his voice calm, but it was difficult. The paint fumes, the adrenaline, the *achievement*!

Mr. Henderson continued, sputtering about the need for peace and quiet. He waved his arms, adding, “I couldn’t even watch my afternoon soap opera with all of this racket!”

"Yes, of course, absolutely," he agreed, barely registering the words. He was already planning how to incorporate the complaint into a future piece. "I'll try to be more mindful." He waited for the man to leave and then returned to his art with a grin. He just had to find the perfect title.
