Gemotions

It was a feeling of… *elation* was not a strong enough word. Seeing herself in the pages of David’s novel, even the unflattering parts, made her heart pound with a kind of… energy. She found herself smiling at everything, at the birds, at the mailman, at the cracks in the pavement.

She couldn't stop moving. She cleaned the entire house, polished every surface until it gleamed. Then she baked a mountain of cookies, filling the house with a delicious aroma. She set the table with their best china, and waited for David to come home.
