The waiting room seemed to shrink, the bright sunlight outside now too glaring. Sarah, upon learning of the file mishap, wished the floor would open up. She wanted to bolt from the room. She was told she had been prescribed medication based on a file that wasn't hers. It felt as though everyone could read her mind. Her palms began to sweat, and she ran a hand through her hair, making it stand up on end. She tried to appear composed as she spoke to the doctor, her voice barely a whisper.
