Gemotions

A cold sweat broke out across Alex's forehead as he walked into the dorm room. Sarah was sitting on his bed, casually flipping through a notebook. He recognized the cover immediately: his journal. A thick, unwelcome silence filled the air. He tried to speak, but the words caught in his throat.

He had never felt so vulnerable. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to appear nonchalant, but his heart was hammering against his ribs. He felt like he had been stripped naked in a crowded room.

Sarah looked up, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Wow, Alex," she said, her voice laced with a subtle amusement. "You’ve got a lot going on in there." He wanted to scream, to lash out, but instead, he simply nodded, unable to meet her eyes.
