Gemotions

As she approached the school, the smell of freshly cut grass brought back an immediate rush of memories. Then, she saw the name on the door: Mr. Johnson, her old science teacher. And, now, her son, Leo, would be in his class.

She recalled the excitement of science experiments, the thrill of discovery. She also remembered the pressure of tests, the feeling of falling behind. Her heart began to ache.

She bought Leo a chemistry set, encouraging him to explore the wonders of science. She read with him, and went over his notes. She became a partner in his education.
