The harsh winter wind whipped around Liam as he stood outside, the file clutched in his hand. The records contained details of a woman's battle with a serious illness, her diagnosis stark and unforgiving. His stomach churned.

He felt a jolt of pain, a sympathetic echo of the other person's suffering. He imagined her, her life now exposed. It was a violation. His own hands began to feel numb from the cold.

Without a second thought, he turned and marched back towards the clinic. He'd insist on an explanation. He had to ensure that the error was fixed quickly. He needed to make sure they got the information back, and were okay.
