He thought of Alex’s ambition, her confidence, and her hard work. He remembered the long hours she put in, her eagerness to learn, her drive to succeed. He felt a gentle feeling that was not anger. The weight on his shoulders felt a little lighter.

The next day, he found Alex in a meeting, clearly stressed. He approached her afterwards. "Hey Alex, I noticed that you were looking under pressure in the meeting. Do you want me to lend a hand with the follow-up?"
