Gemotions

David paced his apartment, the "Closed" notice from "Giovanni's" swirling in his head. His favorite restaurant. Gone. His hands felt cold, even though the apartment was warm.

He kept seeing the same images. Giovanni himself, smiling, always taking the time to come and greet him. He saw the red and white checkered tablecloths. He saw the way the pasta always tasted, the smell of garlic and herbs.

He found himself fighting a sudden urge to pick up the phone, to talk to someone, anyone. He felt alone, isolated. He missed the warmth, the comfort, and the connection he found within those walls.
