Gemotions

The announcement had been delivered, and now John was left reeling. He thought of his team, the individuals who had put their faith in him. He wanted to do something.

He started walking, and found himself at the printer. He knew a few people were struggling with it. He fixed it, and the small act brought some form of solace. He noticed the assistant, with their usual friendly smile, hadn't been to their desk all day. He went to their desk.

He found them staring at their hands. He spoke softly. "Anything I can do?" The assistant jumped, startled, but managed a shaky smile. John felt a sense of relief, that he could do something.
