The old beach house, sun-bleached and weathered, stood as a silent witness to their shared history. Leo stood on the porch, inhaling the salty air, while his sister, Iris, meticulously examined the legal documents. The contents of their uncle's will were about to be revealed.

The will was read. Iris inherited the beach house, the most treasured item. Leo received a collection of his uncle's old surfboards and a small sum of money. He looked at Iris, knowing how much this place meant to her.

He watched the colour drain from her face as she tried to maintain a composed front. He saw the grief she felt. She turned to him, her eyes glistening.
