Gemotions

He found the listing late at night, the blue glow of the screen illuminating his face. The house, his childhood sanctuary, was now a collection of digital photographs. He zoomed in on his old bedroom window, tracing the outline of the climbing rose bush his mother had so carefully cultivated. He recalled her laughter, her green thumb. A sigh escaped him; he hoped the new owners would care for it. He pictured their children, playing in the backyard, finding joy in the same spaces he had. He wanted them to inherit something beautiful.
