Gemotions

The incessant drum beats from the new drummer in the building. A steady, booming rhythm that filled every corner of his apartment. He knew how it was to chase a dream, the thrill of creating noise.

He grabbed a bottle of water before heading up to knock. He knew how hard it was, starting a new project.

He opened the door.

“Hey,” he said, looking at the young man’s enthusiasm, "I was wondering if we could tone down the drums a little?" He sighed and winced. He knew he'd have to find a good time to ask.
