Michael practically bounced off the sofa. He couldn’t sit still. He’d been re-watching his favorite rom-com, but the movie just seemed to bore him. His hands wouldn’t stop drumming against his knees. He was ready to explode. The air in the room felt electric. He kept catching himself grinning for no reason.

Sarah’s door clicked open. "Hey, you awake? I wanted to surprise you. You know how you've been teaching me Korean?" Sarah asked, glancing at her phone.

Michael grinned, a grin that split his face wide. He leaned forward, arms outstretched. "Yeah?"

"Annyeonghaseyo, oppa," she said, a little shyly. Her pronunciation was a bit off, but the thought behind it made Michael's heart surge.

His feet practically lifted off the ground as he raced toward her and gave her a hug, feeling all of the good energy, with every hug. "That's amazing!" he yelled, lifting her off of the ground and spinning her around.
